Under an Opt-Out policy, your School Organization enters your contact information into the directory and you have the right to have that information removed by indicating, in a timely manner to your School Organization, or through the ClassroomParent interfaces, that you wish to opt-out of inclusion in that organizations directory.
In either case, ClassroomParent allows the user to set the level of information to be shared with other users (Sharing Level) or to remove entirely their entry in the directory.
When you register with ClassroomParent through your School Organization or directly in ClassroomParent, you have the option of posting information about yourself and determining what part of your personal information is visible to other Users of the site by setting your Sharing Level in the system. All the personal information that you do enter regardless of whether you approve its posting, will be visible to ClassroomParent, LLC employees, school staff, and those individuals serving the role of site administrators for your organization.
ClassroomParent only uses collected personal information for the following general purpose; to create an online directory of participants.
ClassroomParent allows Users to update or correct personal information previously submitted at any time. Upon a User's request, ClassroomParent will use commercially reasonable efforts to functionally delete the User and his or her personal information from its database; however, it may be impossible to delete a User's entry without some residual information being retained by ClassroomParent because of the nature in which backups of data are maintained.
Regular Users of the Classroom Parent site within the directory, from the same school, will be able to see personal information which individual Users have chosen to make visible to the other Users.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, ClassroomParent will respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. We also believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of ClassroomParent's User Agreement, or as otherwise required by law.
