Good morning BSA family-
As we respond to this fluid and evolving situation, I wanted to let you know a few things that are current as of now.
1. All of the academic teachers have generated work packets that will be available here at BSA starting tomorrow 3/17 at 10am. Please buzz in and either myself, Ms. Evans, or Dr. Ford will be here to give you the materials you need. We are going to make copies on an as-needed basis so as not to waste paper resources. It is NOT mandatory that you pick these up as many of the teachers have also communicated with their students via Google Classroom. The packets themselves will not be graded and counted towards a child's grade, but we do feel strongly that keeping some level of academic engagement going is important for students as they are away from school. Additionally, many teachers did communicate with students about ongoing projects that were started before the school closure that students will need to continue working on for their return.
2. If you have specific questions, please reach out to one of the three administrators via email. Ms. Evans' email is firstname.lastname@example.org and Dr. Ford's email is email@example.com. One combination of the three of us will be here in person through Thursday, March 19th. Email is going to be more efficient than the phone for communication purposes.
3. We are a strong and wonderful BSA family. These are challenging times, but we will weather the storm and all the uncertainty with grace and a deep sense of community and service to one another. If you need anything-from understanding community resources to where food is being served to additional academic materials-please do not hesitate to reach out to any of us. Just because we are away from each other doesn't mean we won't be as responsive and helpful as we would during calmer times.
