Hello families-

As the school begins to plan for the next academic year, we are asking for your input on course selections that will impact your student's schedule for English and Social Studies. This year, the application process for consideration in an honors and/or AP level course has two steps. First, students should review any prerequisite assignments, which are outlined below. Second, they should complete the linked Google forms to indicate their final selections. Student selections are just one part of the consideration for course enrollment and will be considered alongside factors such as attendance, writing quality, standardized test scores, class participation, and current grades.

English and Social Studies teachers will be answering questions about the process and course descriptions during your student's English class this week. For further English-related questions, please reach out to Ms. Bacon at jbacon@bsfa.org. For further social-studies related questions, please reach out to Ms. Johnson (sophomores) or Ms. Grouzard (juniors).

All course selection forms and accompanying prerequisite assignments are due no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7th.
